Day 22

Day 22: Today I am thankful for many of our modern conveniences like the washer & dryer so I don't have to haul laundry down to the river...if it even had water. Can you imagine in this drought?

Day 21

Day 21: Today I am thankful for living in a small town. Yes, we have to travel 30 miles to get any type of groceries, but after spending the day with the crazies in Lawton & Altus it reminds me why we don't live there. 'Tis the season I suppose.

Day 20

Day 20: Today I am thankful for online shopping. I just sorted through what I had purchased for Christmas and realized that I had fewer people's gifts that I thought. So, today I've been online shopping. I know that I should support our local retailers, but out here you just can't find a lot of what I'm looking for & as crazy as Altus was yesterday....I DON'T want to go anywhere near a city! Online Shopping = Keeping My Sanity + Keeping Us Safe from Crazies    As an added bonus I don't have to try to sneak something that I've bought for the little peas through the store, checkout line, and to the car so they don't see. If they walk in I can tell them I'm just browsing & trying to get ideas for them.

Trying to Catch Up

Day 14: I am thankful that I am starting to see some progress on the house.

Day 15: I am thankful that my youngest's test results came back ok....no mono! YEAH!

Day 16: I am thankful for a soft bed to crash in after a long day.

Day 17: I am thankful that this was the last dose of medicine the kids had to have. I am tired of hearing how nasty it tastes.

Day 18: Today I am thankful for 12 years of marriage. Happy Anniversary Wade!

Day 19: I am thankful that this is a short week with a 5 day weekend. I miss my family so much during the week.

An Extra Dose of Thankfulness

Just had to add an extra thankful post today. On the way home tonight I had just hung up the phone & was contemplating making another call I needed to, but something told me that I didn't need to do that, I needed to watch for deer. Less than 5 miles down the road a large doe was standing in the middle of my lane w/ her friend off to the side. I was able to stop in time because I was expecting it. It felt like someone was tapping me on the shoulder saying hey, pay attention here. Thank you God for that warning you saved me, the kids, & the deer from getting hurt!
