Did you just say that?

While fixing lunch for the peas today, the middle one was talking to the oldest. Of course they were annoying each other, which is the typical fashion around here. Next thing I hear is the oldest telling the youngest, "You just SPAT on me!" I had to pause & realize that yes, he did just say spat! That's a word you don't hear very often now days!
